Has a non English language film ever won Best Picture at the Oscars?

I’m surprised to say but NO foreign language movie has ever won best picture.

    they are racist…..

    so they cant give anyother movie best movie oscar….

    and as Americans think they are superior so thats the second reason

    There definitely haven’t been any movies that are predominantly not in English that have won that category. I think the closest film that would fit would something like "Schindler’s List" or "The Godfather, Part II," and that would be pushing it.

    There haven’t even been many performances in other languages that won, just people like Sophia Loren, Roberto Benigni, and most recently, Marion Cotillard.
