Why are there no filming in Glasgow this summer?

Last august 2011, many big budget Hollywood productions did shootings in Glasgow, including Oscar winners and superstars like Tom Hank, Brad Pitt, Halle Barry, Scarlet Johansson etc.

However, this summer 2012 seems quiet. Why are they not coming? I last heard that the production companies were very happy with local extras, actors/actresses ?!

obviously nothing going on that Glasgow is suitable for
however there is always small productions going on, all over the place

a couple of weeks ago we had to quietly divert while walking in merchant city for a film crew, we saw them later on behind the Tron Theatre

Is it me or did Oscar always seem to get slapped when it mattered the most?

His fights with Shane Mosley, Tito Trinidad, Mayweather, Pacman all seem the same. He lost by decision. Its all 14 rounds of cruising with a few flurrys here and there and after the final bell everyone but oscar is the winner.

Most of the fights he lost were fought when he was, IMO, well past his prime, and it could be argued that his interests outside the ring (running Golden Boy productions, etc) distracted him from training properly.

He would have beaten Trinidad on points, but for some reason lost concentration and gave away that fight. Bernard Hopkins basically outclassed him in terms of punching power, Hopkins being a naturally larger fighter. Against Mayweather and Pacquiao, he was a mere shell of his former self – too slow and unable to land effective combos that might have worked in his younger years. As it was, he was the naturally larger fighter against both of those men, and neither Pac or Mayweather were able to effectively outpower DLH as well.

Can these people win more than one Oscar?

In the Academy Awards, there are a number of awards given. Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director, etc.

Can an actor or actress win the award for Best Actor in one film in the same ceremony and go on to win the Best Supporting Actor in another film?

Yes. At the 1993 Academy Awards Al Pacino was nominated for Best Actor for Scent of A Woman and Best Supporting Actor for Glengarry Glen Ross.

It would’ve been possible for him to win both, but he only won for Scent of A Woman.

like what are all the awards that are given out at the oscars/academy awards just wondering i don’t want to win one lol!(: and is there a limit of how many someone can win? also who chooses who or what wins the oscar? also do famous singers get invites to the Oscars even if they’ve never acted in their lives like they’re just super famous singers like Lady Gaga or Justin bieber, they’re not actors but super famous singers?

Even rahman also not worked for oscar. He just did his work and he got the appreciation 4 that. First ask sarathkumar to win the national award. But no one can succeed if they work 4 awards. Rahman is doing his works from his heart and that’s he is succeeding in his musical life. rahman never works 4 award.
