I think that many …
I think that many non-blacks love that movie so much simply because it reinforces all of the negative stereotypes that people harbor towards African-Americans. You have all of the ingredients. Think about it: Teenage pregnacy, welfare recipient, drugs, incest (sexual abuse), illiterate (uneducated), and lets not forget the stealing and gulping down of FRIED CHICKEN. Sure, people love this movie. Why wouldn’t they (sarcasm). Then we have the movie THE BLIND SIDE. That’s for another day.
