REVIEW/A Glamourous red carpet at this European Film Premiere in Leicester Square, at Odeon Cinema, London. The Place is so unique mainly as the Stars, Nicole KIDMAN (Award winner) and Hugh JACKMAN (Oscars presenter 2009) came to brighten it, even if only shortly. The ‘Academy Awards’, is popularly known as the ‘Oscars’, are awards of merit presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). It is set to recognize unexpected skills as well as amazing talent, i.e. excellence of professionals in the film industry, including directors, actors, and writers, new talents, new technologies best achievements and above all Beauty and Wonders. The formal ceremony at which the awards are presented is among the oldest, most prominent, most prestigious, and most watched film award ceremonies in the world. The very 1st Academy Awards ceremony took place on Thursday, May 16, 1929, at the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood to honor outstanding film achievements of 1927 and 1928. It was hosted by actor Douglas Fairbanks and so wonderfully worldwide acclaimed film director William C. DeMille. The 81st Academy Awards honoring the best in film for 2008 will be held on Sunday, February 22 2009 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. So this year oscar presenter Hugh Jackman (starring in Film ‘AUSTRALIA’ in 2008) is to brighten the Ceremony with a special glimpse of Glamour, and with his great talent and amazing personality, as well as very astonishing performance as Nicole KIDMAN co-star. Previously and among amazing presenters were George CLOONEY (oscar winner) among other fabulous personalities…

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have confirmed that Australias own, Hugh Jackman, will be the host of the 81st Annual Academy Awards, better known to some as The Oscars.
A man of many talents, Hugh is no stranger to the stage, nor to hosting large scale televised events. He won an Emmy in 2005 for hosting the 58th annual Tony Awards in 2004, where he also took a best-actor Tony for his performance in the musical The Boy From Oz. He has style, elegance and a sense of occasion, producers Laurence Mark and Bill Condon said in a joint statement. Hugh is the ideal choice to host a celebration of the years movies – and to have fun doing it.
